[Synchronize User Authen-tication & Account Track]

Overview

Configure settings to allow linking of [User Authentication] and [Account Track].

In the case it is used by multiple accounts, this function is useful for managing users according to their accounts.

NOTICE

The following settings are required to use this function.
Set [User Authentication] to [Authenticate]
Set [Authentication Method] to [ON (MFP)] or [External Server Authentication]
Set [Account Track] to [ON]

Tips

In the case [Synchronize] is set, users who have registered their account names are authenticated simply by using user name and user password.
When [Do Not Synchronize] is set, authentication is performed after entering [User Name], user's [Password], [Account Name] and account's [Password].
When [User Authentication] and [Account Track] are linked, users without registered account names will not be able to log in.
