[Fold&Staple Paper Width Adj.]
Overview
Adjust the width of the horizontal alignment plate that aligns a paper stack of the stapler to reduce misalignment or deflection of the paper for Fold & Staple.
Make this adjustment when a misalignment or deflection occurs on a paper stack for Half-Fold or Multi Tri-Fold.
Tips
- If a numeric value is entered in [Offset for All Size], it is applied to all the paper sizes. If a numeric value is entered for a specific paper size, the setting value becomes the sum of the entered value of the specific paper size and the entered value of [Offset for All Size].

Procedure

Press the selection key of the paper size to adjust.

Press [Print Mode].

Load the paper of the size selected in step 1 into any paper tray, and select that paper tray.
[Output Setting] is automatically set to [Fold&Staple].

Press Start on the Control panel.
A sample is output.

Check misalignment "a" of the output paper stack. Also, check distortion "b".
a: This is caused if the specified paper width is larger than the actual width.
b: This is caused if the specified paper width is smaller than the actual width.
Standard value: a = 1.0 mm or less

If any adjustments are required, press [Exit PrintMode] to return to the setting screen.

Use the on-screen keypad to enter the numeric value.
Use [+]/[-] to select the plus or minus of the numeric value. To change [Current Data], press [Set].
[Adj. Range:-50~+50 1step = 0.1mm]

Repeat step 2 to step 7 until the desired result is obtained.
