[Manual Setting]
Overview
Enter the density balance adjustment values manually and register them.
Newly registered data and existing data can be corrected.
Tips
- Set the density balance adjustment values to each screen configured on the system. See [Custom Screen] for more details regarding changing screen types.

Procedure (New Registrations)

Select an empty column from the list of density balance adjustment values and press [Manual Setting].
Up to 10 density balance adjustment values can be registered. Select an already registered number when overwriting.
The [Density Balance Adj. Data Register] screen is displayed. If you select a number that is already registered, the registered density balance adjustment value is displayed.

Press [Screen Pattern].

Select the screen which will reflect the density balance and press [OK].
The screen type can be changed. For details, refer to [Custom Screen].

Press [Print Mode].

Selects the paper size.
Select a paper feed tray loaded with paper of any of the following sizes: 12 e 18 w, SRA3 w, 13 e 19 w, 11 e 17 w or A3 w.

Press Start on the Control panel.
The chart containing the adjusted density balance is output.

Press [Exit PrintMode] to return to the setting screen.

Select a mode to be adjusted from either [All e 9 points] mode or [16 e 32 points] mode (when [All e 9 points] mode is selected on the screen).
[All e 9 points] mode: Enter the 9 density values manually from the paper feed crossing direction divided into 32 points. (Horizontal axis [01], [05], [09], [13], [17], [21], [25], [29], [32]). System will automatically set the density value around it.
[16 e 32 points] mode: Manually enter density adjustment values of 32 points in the paper feed crossing direction and 16 points in the paper feed direction for a total of 512 points.

Selects the key for the color you want to adjust.

Use the on-screen keypad to enter the numeric value.
Select positive or negative of numerical value using [+ / -] and press [Set] to enter the value.
[Adj. Range:-128~+127]
Press [*] or [)]. to display the button at any position along the horizontal axis, and then select it.
When [16 e 32 points] mode is selected, if you press on the top column on the horizontal axis, the same numeric values can be entered with one entry by selecting the respective column beneath it.
Press [Clear] for setting to zero.
NOTICE
- Press [Clear Adj. Data] to set adjustment values of selected points as well as adjustment values of all points to zero. Exercise care when using.

Repeat Procedures 4 through 7 after the adjustment values are entered.

Check the chart and repeat Procedures 8 through 11 until the target results are obtained.

Press [OK] on [Density Balance Adj. Data Register] screen when the adjustments are complete.
Once the adjustments are complete, be sure to output the chart and check it. If the chart is not output, the density balance adjustment values will not be changed or registered, even if you press [OK] on the [Density Balance Adj. Data Register] screen.
Return to [Density Balance Data Reg/Del] screen. "NEW PROFILE" is displayed in [Adj. Data Profile Name].

Press [Change Name] and enter a profile name.

Procedure (Correct and Register Existing Data)

Select registered numbers from the list of density balance adjustment values and press [Manual Setting].
The [Density Balance Adj. Data Register] screen is displayed.

Press [Screen Pattern].
The screen cannot be changed when the density balance adjustment value you are trying to change is colorimetric data obtained from colorimeter. [Screen Pattern] will be grayed-out (inactive) and cannot be selected.

Select the screen which will reflect the density balance and press [OK].
The screen type can be changed. For details, refer to [Custom Screen].

Perform Procedures 8 through 12 on Procedure (New Registrations).

Press [OK] on [Density Balance Adj. Data Register] screen when the adjustments are complete.
Once the adjustments are complete, be sure to output the chart and check it. If the chart is not output, the density balance adjustment values will not be changed or registered, even if you press [OK] on the [Density Balance Adj. Data Register] screen.
Return to [Density Balance Data Reg/Del] screen.
[Adj. Data Profile Name] can be changed. For details, refer to [Change Name].
