[Density Balance Chart Output]
Overview
Output a density balance chart.
Measure the output density balance chart using a colorimeter and register the adjustment value.
NOTICE
- Outputs the chart to which the screen type set in this system is applied. Select an appropriate screen and paper type before outputting the chart. Go to Administrator Setting > Custom Screen to change the screen type.
Tips
- If [Density Balance Auto. Adj.] is performed without a scanner while Intelligent Quality Optimizer IQ-501 is not mounted, output the density balance chart, measure it using a colorimeter, and then register the adjustment value.
- Refer to the manual included with the colorimeter for more details regarding how to use the colorimeter and how to produce colorimetric data.

Procedure

Select the colorimeter and type to be used and press [Print Mode].

Press [Quality Adj.].

Press [Screen Pattern].
The screen type can be changed even by pressing [)] on the right of [Screen Pattern].

Select the screen to be output and press [OK].

Press [Close].

Select a paper feed tray loaded with paper of any of the following sizes: 12 e 18 w, SRA3 w, 13 e 19 w, 11 e 17 w or A3 w.

Press Control panel - Start.
A chart is output.

Measure the output chart using a colorimeter and create the colorimetric data.

Register the colorimetric data to the system.
