[ADF Orig. Stop Pos. Auto]
Overview
This function automatically adjusts the scanning start position of the ADF and the image centering in the crosswise direction.
Scanning accuracy is maintained by making regular adjustments.
NOTICE
- To make correct adjustments, configure the following setting in advance.
- To adjust the scanning start position: Perform [FD-Mag. Adjustment] in [ADF Adjustment].
- To adjust the image centering: Perform [Centering Adjustment] in [Printer Adjustment].

Procedure

Select an item you want to adjust.
Finally, adjustment is required for all the items.

Press [Print Mode].
[Simplex/Duplex] is selected automatically, so do not change this setting.

Load A4 paper into the Paper tray, and select that paper tray.

Place the test chart used for preparation in the ADF tray, and press [Start].
The selected items are adjusted automatically.
If you selected [Restart Timing(Front)] in step 2, load the test chart used in [FD-Mag. Adjustment] of [ADF Adjustment] with its front side facing upward.
If you selected [Centering(Front)] in step 2, load the test chart used in [Centering Adjustment] of [Printer Adjustment] with its front side facing upward.
If you selected [Restart Timing(Back)] in step 2, load the test chart used in [FD-Mag. Adjustment] of [ADF Adjustment] with its back side facing upward.
If you selected [Centering(Back)] in step 2, load the test chart used in [Centering Adjustment] of [Printer Adjustment] with its back side facing upward.

The result is displayed in [Adjustment Result].
If adjustment fails, [NG] is displayed in [Adjustment Result]. Make adjustments with [ADF Original Stop Pos. Adj.].
[Skew Level] is only displayed when you have selected [Restart Timing(Front)] in step 2.

Check that [Adjustment Result] is [OK], and press [Set].
The numeric value of [Position Adj.(mm)] is reflected on [Current Data].
