Managing Paper
Overview
The system can handle high volumes of paper at high-speeds. Therefore, if a problem occurs during paper feeding, a large amount of paper may be wasted.
It is recommended that you manage the paper supply on a daily basis using the procedure mentioned below.
NOTICE
- Be careful not to fold or scratch/abrade the paper during checks.
Procedure

Place the paper package on a flat surface and open it.

Check that the paper is not folded or scratched. If there are any such issues, remove that paper.

Also check the front and back of the paper.
It is recommended that you check the paper by lifting the stack as shown in the figure here.

Check that the individual sheets of paper are not stuck together due to static charge.
Lift up some of the top papers by about 1 cm and check where there is no crackling sound.
Any such sound indicates that it is charged with static electricity. It is recommended that you do not use paper such paper.

Lift up and flick through the paper thoroughly before loading into the tray.
Press down the paper with your hand as shown in the figures and flick both edges of the paper in the direction the paper will be fed.
Place the paper on a flat surface when flicking through the paper. If you try flicking through the paper while holding it in your hands, you may drop the paper and cause it to curl up or fold.
Do not try to flick through too much paper at once.
